The Motorclub Kilkis is recognized as an athletic club from October 1999 by all government owned institutions and we are a founding member of OME (Motorcycle Federation of Greece).

The first steps we took as a club was to build a dragster race track on the grounds of the old military airport. In spite of our and the Mayors office proposals, and from at that time the under minister of sports, we countered many obstacles (it was too close to a residential area, expropriations neighboring rural parcels and in general too large overall construction costs). That was the reason no further subsidy was granted after the first one with which we build the toilets and the fencing.

Our first goals were to bring close to us more and worthy members to enlarge the group! We reached to enumerate 116 registered members and 60 of them are still supporting our effort.

The social role of our association came through the blood bank that we started, also from the creation of parking spaces for motorcycles inside the city so that parking on trottoirs, pavements and in midst of cars could be avoided. Still we try to pass on to our members and the rest of the citizens the real idea of motorcycling (always leaving certain distance "personal space" between everyone)!!!

This moment we are building a motorcross area opposite from the KTEO and despite the bureaucracy we are on the right track. Already we have organised a race scrable there with great success as have been the two previous races we organised (Supermotard on the kart track Kilkis, Dragster on the boulevard of Doiranis and the scrable in Drosato with the support of local association). Our members have attended in some of the above races as well as in the dragster in Serres with satisfactory results!

Each year we make excursions in Greece and abroad for the purpose of enjoyment of the motorcycle and the company. Big success was the excursion in Ochrida in FYROM, that of Italy (with a visit to the Greek-speaking villages in the southern part of the country), the lake Plastira and... what else can we suggest!!! A! To remind you of the splendid parties we organised and naturally we will continue to do so!

Never forget that the club MOK is you all, and the administrative committee owes a big ‘Thank You’ to the members that helped with their advice and/or their ideas that made the club his success, but also a request to everyone else, members and not, a small abnegation from their obligations for the concretisation of still bigger objectives, because life is not only about obligations and work, it also needs "charging of batteries" with something that you love!!!
